Think You Want To Be An Entrepreneur?

The best way to find out is to do it.

Grow as a person while starting a business — by applying to be in the inaugural Refinery46 Summer EntreShip cohort. We’re welcoming college students and to apply for an opportunity to launch a real business, build a network, earn real money from real customers, and learn from experienced entrepreneurs.

Inaugural Cohort at Refinery46 Indianapolis Coworking Space

Are you ready to:

  • Start and run your own business?
  • Learn from experienced entrepreneurs and business leaders?
  • Determine how much you earn this summer?

The Summer EntreShip isn’t for everyone. It requires a self-starter willing to take risks. It requires a person willing to put in work before getting paid. It requires a person with creativity, and grit, who knows how to collaborate.

Think you have what it takes?

Application Expectations:

  • Clearly Articulated idea for your summer business (Don’t know what you’d do? Here’s a list of resources and idea starters: Sweaty Startup, Inc, Entrepreneur, Profitable Venture)
  • Ready to Work: Foundational work starts immediately. To make your business profitable in the summer, the effort will start in the spring. Be ready to make the trip to Indianapolis before the semester ends to lay the groundwork for your summer’s success.
  • This is not a paid internship but if you follow our advice we expect you will earn $2000-$6,000 per person in profit (no guarantees).  This is largely dependent upon completion of all of the pre-work in the spring and getting a head start on lining up jobs for the summer.
  • Our first cohort will include 3 businesses (preferably two-person teams). You will learn from each other and compete with each other on key metrics each week.
  • This EntreShip will be in-person in Indianapolis, IN
  • In addition to the real-life lessons learned running a business, cohort members will work through MIT “Disciplined Entrepreneurship” Workbook

Application Deadline is April 15, 2021 – Apply as a Team Below

For business students needing internship hour requirements we will coordinate with your university to meet these requirements

  • Personal Information

  • Business Concept

  • What type of business can you start now and run this summer? Why would you start this? What would your competitive advantage be? What are your revenue goals? What would you hope to learn?
